A Day in the Life of a… Teacher! // 03.30.15

Why hello hello!

How do you guys like the new blog design?

Alright, well here is a day in the life of Monday, March 30th.
A Day In The Life

For starters, it is the Monday back from Spring Break… I slept for only 2 hours! I think my mind was just so preoccupied with all the things I had to do for the week. I turned my brain off from work for a week so I guess it was expected. But due to the lack of sleep I had a late start… 44 minutes late! Eeek!

I was basically on freak out mode when I was getting ready, especially since I knew I had to get to school early to at least get my homework packets ran off. But this was my sight when I walked into the restroom. It was so beautiful and helped remind me to stop and smell the flowers (not roses). These were left over flowers from a beautiful wedding we attended on Saturday.

I ended up leaving our place at about 6:30am. That means that I would get to school at about 7am. When I got there I checked my mailbox then ended up deciding to not make copies because I already made my math copies the week before break! This was a good surprise because the copy machines were BUSY! An even better surprise was that I came back and all my student’s desks were cleaned!!!
It was a great first day back. The kids were great and they actually did work! I think they were more ready to come back than I was! I ended up staying after school because I forgot I had scheduled a meeting! And I had this mess to clean up…

I don’t think I ended up leaving until 4:30. My car was one of the last cars in the parking lot. Then I realized that I do not like leaving at that time because the sun is the worst at that time! It is so blinding that I cannot see the car in front of me at all. So I had to pull this off… Yup, glasses on glasses!

Eventually I made it home. But when I got home Mr.QD wanted to go grocery shopping. So we ended up going to Costco, then Winco, then Marshalls. He is on this “let’s get everything glass” kick!

We ended up getting home at about 9pm. Then he still wanted to meal prep?!?!? He was crazy, and I was even crazier to go along with it. We made chicken curry, brown rice, roasted asparagus, grilled chicken, baked uncured turkey bacon, and prepackaged salad for lunch for the week. I was beat by the time I went to bed at 11:30pm.
Man, I am beat just thinking back to all that I did yesterday! The whole sleeping for 2 hours was not the business! But let me tell you… I slept soooo good last night! Sorry if my day in the life was boring, I hope your Monday was more exciting than mine! I’d love to hear about it!

OOOOOooooh! And I wanted to let you all know that I am on Periscope!!! So follow me @quitedaintyblog! I’d love to connect with you! What is Persicope? It is like Meerkat? What is that? That sounds like a great day, honestly! Gotta love those days when other people (your students, in this case) are “on” when we’re not! Helps keep things in balance. πŸ˜‰ -Lacy
